MUSEUM WORTHY VINTAGE LATE 1800'S - EARLY 1900'S VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN / WESTERN STEAMPUNK BEADED PINSTRIPE BLACK SATIN BODICE JACKET S 34

Item #: 1003497 Click on image to see more pictures! Definitely another very vintage piece, hard to truly date this piece. I say museum worthy, as I've seen these types of antique pieces on display in Chicago museums in my area. If it was made as a costume piece, then it is also still vintage, as you can tell. I've counted 10 stays inside, it has hook & eye front closures on the front and at the collar & neckline. It must have taken women hours to get dressed! The neckline has a triangular satin piece that also secures with a hook & eye. It is fully lined, just a few areas inside of discoloration as you can see. The fabric is very upscale with a pinstripe decorative. The beading is in really great condition, I would guesstimate that it's about 95% all there. You may have to take a needle & thread to tighten a few, but mostly on the waist, a little on the cuffs. Overall, just nicely preserved. The collar, cuffs and waist (all the way around) is beaded. At the waist, there is a hook & eye closure on the beading, which I tried to be gentle with so I didn't use the closure, I just gently fastened it with light tape for the photo. What a flattering hourglass shape! The bust fits nicely on my 34" mannequin, waist is petite. Please request any additional measurements if you intend to wear it.
