VERY RARE! 1940'S VINTAGE GOLDEN SATIN SMOOTHIE "STROUSE ADLER" CONTROLEUR OB GIRDLE / CORSET W/GARTERS 34

Item #: 1004933 Click on image to see more pictures! Here I have a very rare, almost complete satin corset/girdle. Made by Strouse Adler, it's a Smoothie Controleur. The satin is so soft, and it has antique lace cups. There are 14 hook & eye closures on the right side, 4 metal non-detachable garters. The boning consists of 2 stays center front, under the cups, I'm not sure if they are plastic or metal. Flaws noted are stretched shoulder straps (will need replacing unless you tie them like I did), water stain on the right hip that extends around the front right, one tiny flaw in the lace under the right cup, one slightly bent garter (still functions), and a few little nicks on the front right near the bottom. All of these flaws are pictured and can be remedied, in my opinion. This is a brand that you just don't see around and highly collectible. I can't say enough about how stunning it is to see in person. Of course it has been pre-owned, still just a gorgeous piece! Bust 34", waist 29" max, hips 34", opening 36", length not including garter drop is 21" from the top of the cups down to the hem. Of course it would be longer if there were functioning straps to measure from the shoulder down. Measurement Questions? Price: 110.00
