RARE VINTAGE EARLY 1900'S METAL RED MESH PURSE / HANDBAG - GERMAN SILVER

It is larger than your average mesh wristlet bag, heavy and well made. It has a kiss lock closure and it is stamped Ger. Silver inside (see photo). I'm assuming the body is metal and just the frame is silver (?). There are no links missing, just a small amount of signs of wear to the red paint color.
