Acquired from a lady who actually purchased this lovely cardigan over 40 years ago in a vintage shop. I'm estimating it to be about 1940's. It is fully lined with rayon (even in the sleeves), 8 hook & eye closures on the front, trimmed with beading around the collar, down the front and the cuffs. I didn't see any missing beads, a little bit of pilling and a few minor loose threads on the lining, a few spots on the inside lining. It has satin piping down the front, around the collar and the cuffs as well. It is extremely soft, made of lambs wool and angora - see tag. 3" slits on each hip to accentuate your figure. One area on the left shoulder appears to look like a tiny hole, but more likely a misstep with the knitting when it was manufactured. Overall, this is exquisite and in gorgeous condition, ready to wear, sized as a 38. The color is a pale beige, buttercream, off white. Bust 38-40", length shoulder to hem is 23", sleeves 21", shoulders 15.5".
